Brighton/London-based Hadda Be are currently working on their sophomore album and have given us a taste of the direction that is to come through their newly released single, “Mercurial.”
The track hones in on the dark edges of post-punk and shoegaze that was found on their 2021 debut album, Another Life. The angular and sharp guitar work lays the groundwork for the melancholic production and arrangements that perfectly suit the lush vocals that lead the charge.
If the rest of the album follows suit, it’s bound to be a can’t-miss release in 2023.
