Swiss indie rockers Dream Parade are preparing to release their upcoming album FCKPSHOW later this year via Le Pop Club Records.
“Angels” is the first single and taste of the record, with a warm atmospheric glow that splits the difference between indie rock and a tender folk ballad, with a hypnotic vocal performance and emotive melodic sensibility that only grows stronger with every passing moment and new note.
Interestingly the song originated from a “ghostly piano melody that was heard in the background of a guitar line recorded on a telephone.” They couldn’t figure out where the mysterious whisper came from, and decided to use it as a theme for the song, giving it a “profound and romantic message.” Or as they describe it further:
Love is an abstruse and powerful force that fights against feelings of emptiness and mediocrity.
