Palms Psalm is a music project created by Eric Pasi, who creates music that blends elements of surf rock and dream pop with island vibes, recalling old Polynesian music that he dug up as a first-generation Polynesian-American. He’s recently shared “The Coast” the first single from his upcoming album due out this fall.
“The Coast” takes me back to the sort of dreamy chill indie rock that we would spend summers obsessing over during the heyday of mp3 music blogs like this very one. From the hazy vocal work, to the lush instrumentation and the audio samples, it carries itself with supreme confidence and delivers feelings of melancholy, yet also inspiration.
