Feign Jima is the project of Austrailian singer-songwriter Jamie Fanning who has recently returned with her gorgous new single “Ultimate Defender.”
Described as a “lovelorn ballad” that speaks to “a different kind of break-up, that between two friends whose relationship has gradually withered away.”
It’s a melancholic blend of folk and dreamy pop that taps into a traditional songwriting sense that pierces deep through your heart where it hurts.
Speaking directly on the track, she adds:
“Ultimate Defender is a desperate plea for connection with a friend who has slowly slipped through the cracks. It’s about wanting new connections and remembering the old ones. Simply, that “I miss us” feeling.”
