Damn Hands are an Austin, Texas band that has transported us back to the glorious days of mid-2000s indie with their single “Lob Volleys”, which opened their new EP Holiday Weight.
There is a colorful spirit that runs through the track, which coasts by with a garage rock looseness but also a keen sense of melody that also packs a sneaky bit of catchy choruses and slick guitar riffs. It reminds me a lot of the sort of music that you used to scour across music blogs and hoping that each new song would change your life. And maybe it did.
