SSTO is a neo-psychedelic band from Leeuwarden, The Netherlands who have recently dropped their debut EP, Fragments.
Kicking off the EP is “Drifting” a song that could’ve been mistaken for a long lost gem of the 90s. Think some of the dreamy musings of Moby with a more Filter like dreamy vocal performance, with the ambient and lush nature of Tycho. The track is described as the band as being about “not being the person you wish to be.”
Then there is the single “Metropolis” a track that shines with an ambitious and confident Brit rock kick that is equally as psych-rock friendly and dreamlike in its delivery with some big blissful production. With powerful themes such as “about not being the person you wish to be but not showing it to others but feeling insecure deep inside.
