The Lovelines are a brother and sister duo who ended 2021 with the release of their debut single “Strange Kind Of Love”, and what a debut it is.
Smooth r&b leaning pop with a coasting indie charm, it carries itself with a magical coastal spirit and a really radiant and cool sense of style in the production. What stands out is the duo know delivers the goods just a bit over two minutes, making every damn second count while never outstaying their welcome either. It takes a bit of a retro-pop sound and infuses it reminding a bit of modern artists like SAULT, Leon Bridges, and Kadhja Bonet, while still creating an entire world of its own.
