South of France is the project of Denver, Colorado-based musician Jeff Cormack who is gearing up for the release of their sophomore album My Spirit Animal/ My Baggage.
“Hallelujah Show” is the first single to be shared from the album a song that channels all the elements of classic shoegaze with some reverb-heavy riffs and some of that classic hum of the genre, with an evocative and melancholic shine glowing from the instrumentation but also the lush vocal delivery.
The song explores the truth behind flawless appearances and idealizations, or as he explains below:
I aim to create a vibe of ‘let’s call it what it is’ in a world we try to present as glossy,” Jeff says. “It’s about who we are versus who we think we are. I think that’s more interesting, anyway.
