Like all of us Los Angeles trio Fime had big plans in 2020 that got derailed. The band, which features two touring members of Jay Som, made the best of it and worked with Jay Som’s Melina Duterte on a new set of songs, such as the charming “Born 2 Love.”
The track radiates a cool radiant feeling of summer and young love, like a mix of Smith Westerns, Alvvays, and Jay Som, with elements of dream-pop and shoegaze, finely navigated here one that beautifully achieves their goal of making a sweet love song.
