S. Holden Jaffe, the architect of the rising Del Water Gap, is gearing up for the release of his debut self-titled LP, Del Water Gap, out October 8th via Mom + Pop Records. “Hurting Kind” was the first taste of the new era for the singer-songwriter, who continues to astonish with the release of the second album single “Better Than I Know Myself.”
Once agarin Jaffe delicately balances the folk elements that seem to be in his core, yet deftly balanced with the soulful dance and pop sounds that are bursting adjacent to them. The track was co-written with Claud and is described as being about the “nerves of a new relationship and seeing yourself through another person’s eyes.”
