Last month saw New York’s very own Acid Dad return with their new album Take It From The Dead, via Greenway Records and Levitation’s The Reverberation Appreciation Society.

One of the standouts is the psych-leaning garage rock anthem that is the wonderfully titled album standout “She Only Eats Organic.” The track captures a bit of that King Gizzard retro psych sound with some awesome guitar riffs and a bit of a slacker vibe that suites the vibe they’re reaching for perfectly.

Find the whole album available to buy or stream at Bandcamp and the song streaming below, where we have also included a quote about the song’s origin.

She only eats organic is a cheeky reference my vegetarian/vegan lifestyle combined with the day to day non-sense you encounter in NYC. In the song I re-meet my partner for the first time on the subway but struggle to navigate the city. It’s all about trying to make ends meet but also trying to find the comedy in it all. I wanted the repetitive guitar riff to be psychedelic but also represent the anxiety that encompasses the city, making a fast shredder that’s a blast to play live!
