Wax Moon is the Bay Area-based folk duo of Paul Kimball and John Blatchford, who recently let go of their debut album Hello Morning. The lead single and title track “Hello Morning” is a lovely gorgeous piece of music that opens the curtain and sets the tone well for what’s to come.
Lush and thoughtful classic folk storytelling is given lovely support with some fitting strings that tie together the duel vocals that come together to a devestatingly beautiful effect. There are no new tricks or game changing risk taking here, and that’s ok, this is just some good old fashioned folk music.
