PACKS, the Toronto-based indie outfit led by Madeline Link, are gearing up the release their debut album Take The Cake due out on May 21st via Fire Talk Records.
We previously shared their single “Silvertongue” and are back to share the previously released “New TV.” The track taps into this raw slacker rock / garage rock sound with a bit of a 90s indie sound that has some emotional lyrical delivery, well matched for the guitar work which pack a ton of punch. There is a sneaky catchiness about it that nearly catches you off guard, reminding of some of the early work of artists like Speedy Ortiz and Beast Coast.
