The cleverly named New Yank Yorkies are a Vancouver-based soul and roots rock band that has recently hit back with their new single “Bring Back the Love.”
It’s a fitting title for a song that we can all use right now in a time where we are less than united and there is hardly any love in the air. “Bring Back the Love” feels like the sort of song you’d seen placed in a film during a bar scene, which is a compliment.
It has a bit of classic rock, folk, country, and soul in there, all delivered with a bluesy amount of heart that ticks all of the right boxes.
