Toronto-based singer-songwriter Chris Birkett has returned with his new single “Precious Love.” The song is a touching tribute to his wife Joan Prowse, that includes local Toronto musicians such as Bill King on keyboards, Gene Hardy playing sax, Paul DeLong on drums, and background vocals by Taylor Abrahamse.

The track has a Springsteen like quality from the vocalss and the arrangements to the touching loving tribute. Then there is the 70s use of the saxaphone, which is a fitting way to touch upon the world of love, without ever being cheesy.

Find the video for “Precious Love” posted below along with a quote from Birkett about its meaning:

Precious Love is about how positive feelings can grow, and how love can transform people, for people are precious, and relationships are the foundation of humanity.
