Oslo based folk outfit Benedikt will release their sophomore album Balcony Dream on April 16th via Koke Plate. The album will include previously shared singles “Head on a Spike” and “My Killer”.

The 9-piece band has since returned with “Purple and Green” a lovely folk offering that has elements of the sparse artful nature of early Grizzly Bear, with some lovely minimal instrumentation that soars and pulls back as deemed appropriate.

Or as described by the band:

Purple and Green is a song that is very special to us, and that has been with us for many years without being properly recorded. It’s about being heavily in love and not knowing how to act on it, inspired by studying at a strict christian boarding school where physical intimacy was still a taboo. We also feel like this song captures the essence of our second album, with its dreamy, playful arrangement and an unconventional mix of musical elements.
