Hildegard is the new duo of Helena Deland + multi-instrumentalist and producer Ouri. Their partnership also brings along collaboration with artist Melissa Matos to develop the visual language of the project.
They drew inspiration from the life and work of mystic, healer, composer, and visionary 12th-century nun, Hildegard of Bingen, invoking her as “a carrier of the magic they felt working with each other.”
You get a sense for the ethereal and dreamy quality that they are going for on their debut offering “Jour 2,” which comes with the brand new video directed by Matos. It feels like a spiritual component with the song, cinematic in nature.
