Singer-songwriter Rodes Rollins began work on her appropriately titled song “Isolation” while quarantining in Colorado and then wanted to make a short visual with her friend and decided to take the demo of the song and flesh it out, which was eventually included on her new EP Dissociation.

Yet even then she still wasn’t done with the song and invited New York-based artist HNRY FLWR to join and lend vocals on a new version of the song that turned it into a duet shared between the two.

As she describes it:

In this new rendition of the song, HNRY and I sing together about loneliness and the longing for a more connected time. Ironically, the two of us singing together seems to highlight these qualities even more than the original when I sang alone. Perhaps it is because in this stripped down version, we really let the lyrics and the story-telling lead the way.”

Enjoy the beautiful new version of “Isolation” below with a wonderful video of them performing it together.
