Ted Tyro is a band based out of Louisville, Kentucky formed around the tape machine recordings of Bart Swift.

He’s recently returned with a pair of new singles in “Chariots” and “Blue Demon II” that have caught our attention. The tracks have a bouncy and loose rock sound at play with some art-rock tendencies and some low-key catchy qualities that hit all the right notes.

“Blue Demon II” is a track described as “ultimately a love song” that “celebrates once in a lifetime people, the ones that make a personal difference day to day. It celebrates how surprising and cool for that sort of person to appear in your life.” While “Chariots” is aboutt “the grip of corporate capitalism on the world and the people of the world.”

These are heavy themes but Swift finds away to make it all sound so smooth and timeless, with a light energy that is perfect for some easy summer listening.
