Sufjan Stevens has announced his highlight anticipated new album The Ascension, his first since 2015’s Carrie & Lowell (although earlier this year he did release Aporia, a collaborative album with his stepfather, Lowell Brams). It will be released on September 25th via Asthmatic Kitty Records.
The album’s debut single “America” will be released on Friday morning and in over 12-minutes long and is also the album’s closing track.
