Goons is a band from Sydney, Australia. They’ve released their debut offering “Homerun” a soaring indie rocker that channels a lot of the energetic outfits of the 2010s.
There is a soaring guitar line and a playfulness to “Homerun” that reminds a bit of the early work of Two Door Cinema Club. It’s a perfectly built rocker for the summer and not only that, but it carries a strong thematic message as well.

The track was inspired by the ups and downs and universal challenges that arise in any significant life pursuit. Throughout the bashing of heads, the clashing of ideas, gut-retching pitfalls and the feeling of no escape, there live those moments of hope that make everything worth the hardship.
