Thai Food are a Bay Area band who are preparing for the release of their debut EP Running Things, out sometime later this year.

They’ve given us a taste of the EP with the track “Make Her Pay.” The track channels a bit of punk acts like Parquet Courts, with a little more of a one-two mixture of a funky rock elements that descend into some sick guitar solos and glorious fuzz.

As the band tells it:

the song is about a time when the singer, Cory Eklund, didn’t have his driver’s license yet, and how his girlfriend was getting tired of driving him everywhere and paying for gas.
