Junípero is the Mexican dream-pop duo of Joán Melendrez and Janelle Saucedo. The project arose from the “need to musicalize experiences and connect with our deepest desires. It is the meeting of two musical souls with roots in different generations; influenced by country and resonant sound to forge a new musical landscape in the form of DreamPop.”
They’ve recently released their debut single “New Beginnings” a track that most certainly live up to the promise of the dream-pop genre. It’s easy to mark the similarities here to Beach House and other modern groups of the genre, but the band adds their own unique flourishes and textures to give it a fresh new spin.
