Back in December, we shared with you “Sir Francis Drake,” the debut single from Cartography, the project of Trevor Misplay.
He’s since returned with its follow-up, the colorful and imaginative “Children.” It sounds like the weirdest Beach Boys song never released, like a mix of Animal Collective, Yeasayer and Youth Lagoon rolled up into one glossy musical rainbow.
As Misplay describes:
The songs lyrics reflect on adulthood and how despite our attempts to make some sense out of our existence, we mostly end up back where we started.
