Molly Burch threw her hat into the ring of Christmas music, releasing her rather delightful The Molly Burch Christmas Album last month via Captured Tracks.

While some Holiday music is often safe, predictable, cheesy and routine, Burch’s voice lends quite nicely to the genre and she adds enough of her own personal touch to some of the familiar classics while also adding some of her own new material to the mix.

Last night (December 4th) she performed her first-ever Holiday Party at The Bell House where she kicked off the holiday celebration for many in a lovely fashion. The highlight of the night came during her performance of “Last Christmas” which saw her joined by comedians John Early and Peter Smith who brought the house down in an epic and hilarious fashion.

Following the Holiday themed set, Burch and her band returned to play some of her own regular material, including beautiful renditions of “To The Boys” and “Please Be Mine.”

We wouldn’t be mad if Burch made this an annual tradition in the future.
