Sleater-Kinney have been touring in support of their new St. Vincent-produced album The Center Won’t Hold, which was released back in August via Mom + Pop Music.

Last night the band spent their Halloween playing the second of two New York shows at Hammerstein Ballroom, following their performance at Kings Theatre the night before. This was our first time seeing the band since their insanely intimate performance at Market Hotel back in 2015.

Although it’s understandably jarring to see the band playing without drummer Janet Weis, Carrie Brownstein and Corin Tucker more than held down the fort, along with touring members Katie Harkin and Toko Yasuda. Then there’s Weiss’ replacement Angie Boylan who did a perfect job behind the kit and more than held her own in what is a tough position to be in. The band didn’t miss a beat and gave fans a full set of many of the newer offerings and plenty of old favorites that filled out the big spae of Hammerstein Ballroom confidently and with ease.

Find some shots from last night (all iPhone) posted below, along with the setlist.
