Aldous Harding has released one of the best albums of the entire year with Designer (released via 4AD), which has been on constant rotation for us all year. We last caught her at Rough Trade NYC this past April just ahead of the albums’ release and we caught her latest performance on September 30th, at a sold out Music Hall of Williamsburg.

Following a solo performance from fellow New Zealand outfit Tiny Ruins’ Hollie Fullbrook, Harding took the stage and instantly grabbed control of the entire room. Although we’ve caught a few of her recent shows, it has been since October 2016 since I had last seen Harding personally perform and it was amazing to see just how far she’s come as an artist. She can hold an entire audience completely transfixed in awe with her looks and smile, that often radiates between hilarious, uncomfortable and totally tender.
