This year saw Australian dream-pop artist Hatchie release her wonderful debut album Keepsake via Double Double Whammy. It has been a staple of our summer listening over the past few months, which made me excited to see her kick off her U.S. tour in support of it earlier this year when she performed in front of a sold out crowd at Rough Trade NYC on September 4th.

Hatchie and her band, which included Jeremy McLennan of the opening act Orchin, effortlessly brought the songs of her debut to life, recreating the dreamy magic in a heavenly fashion. The songs more than filled out the space of Rough Trade NYC, including efforts from her debut EP Sugar & Spice, with its track “Sure” getting the best reaction of the night as it closed the 12-song set.

We wouldn’t be surprised to see Hatchie return early next year with a bigger New York City performance and hope we see you there. For now, find a full gallery of photos from her performance along with the setlist below, along with shots of Orchin.
