Last week saw Toronto punkers PUP return with their new album Morbid Stuff via Rise Records.
The band hone in their rowdy punk rock sound with a more produced version of the sound that helped them break out in a big way but still keep the heart and passion of their original framework. Take the album’s title track and opener “Morbid Stuff” that hits you hard with some pummeling licks and drum work that hits hard and sounds like a passion call to arms, as hard-pressed as it is immediately catchy.
