Just one day after catching Green Day at the very tiny Rough Trade NYC, I went for seconds at the slightly bigger (but still insanely intimate for them) Webster Hall. Hey, it sure beats the eventual stadium/arena tours that await us next year.

While the Rough Trade NYC show was full of rare tracks and old favorites that none of us expected, the Webster Hall show was more a conventional greatest hits show with a setlist full of the sort of songs you’d expect to hear from Green Day, as well as a few older surprises again (“Christie Road” + “One of My Lies”).

They delivered an epic 31-song set that felt like the sort of show you’d see at a big time arena show, but you were in a tiny 1,500 capacity hall, singing your heart out to all the songs you knew and love. The new songs did stick out like sore thumbs, but there was enough nostalgia delivered to forgive the few missteps.

Find Green Day’s setlist posted below, along with a few iPhone shots I took from the crowd.
