On September 26, Hamilton Leithauser and Rostam played a sold out performance at Rough Trade NYC, serving as a release show for their wonderful collaborative album, I Had A Dream That You Were Mine, which was released via Glassnote Records.
There was no opener, just a night dedicated to the sounds of Leithauser and Rostam’s delightful album, along with “I Retired” off of Leithauser’s debut album Black Hours. Hot-rising singer Maggie Rogers filled in for Angel Deradoorian during the encore performance of the gorgeous “1959,” and “A 1000 Times” and “In A Black Out” sounded even bigger than they do on the record.
It was a wonderful night of music, and a rare chance to hear them perform the songs together, with a solo Hamilton tour coming next year.
