Star Wars Episode 7 Title

After months of waiting and small teases during production, there is finally a teaser trailer for Star Wars: Episode VII – The Force Awakens and it is glorious.

The first in a new trilogy (not including the planned spin-off movies), The Force Awakens … well, there’s no clear plot out yet. We know that the main cast members (Mark Hamill, Harrison Ford, Carrie Fisher, Kenny Baker, Anthony Daniels, Warwick Davis, and Peter Mayhew) are returning and that John Boyega (Attack The Block), Daisy Ridley, Domhnall Gleeson, Andy Serkis, Oscar Isaac, Lupita Nyong’o, Gwendoline Christie, and Adam Driver are also in the cast.

This first teaser for Episode VII, just about 13 months out, doesn’t reveal any plot, apart from John Boyega in Stormtrooper get-up in a desert, Daisy Ridley on what looks to be a speeder bike in a desert, a dark figure in a forest with a red sword-like lightsaber (the blade and extended hilt), possibly Oscar Isaac in an X-Wing, and assorted ship action (X-Wings in formation and the Millennium Falcon in the middle of a battle over a desert). I’m not rushing to any assumptions, but I have a strong feeling that Episode VII will make a return to Tattooine. Where else would you find so much desert in the Star Wars universe?
