If any of you guys follow me on social media, you may be aware of a photo that I took with Game Of Thrones actor Peter Dinklage that has somehow gone viral. Well at least the version of the photo with a photoshopped Grumpy Cat added in.

Today I’ve been getting a lot of questions about the validity of the photo from different outlets and random strangers and figured it was time just to iron out all the details right here to clear it all up.

I met Dinklage while attending a fan event for the new X-Men film in New York City at the Javits Center. I originally went there just to see the film, with no intention or expectations of meeting anyone from the film. We ended up not being able to screen the film, but ended up hanging around for the actual fan event to see what would happen. Next thing you know, I end up meeting Mr. Dinklage. As a big fan of Game Of Thrones, I had to ask for a photo. Now, I’m pretty tall myself so it worked out better for Peter to take the photo of us himself, selfie style. The photo came out well, and I got the idea to post it to reddit, seeing how its not everyday that you take a selfie with Tyrion Lannister.

I was surprised to find that the photo took off there, making the top page and spawning a photoshopped photo of Grumpy Cat next to Peter that some user decided to make (thank you random stranger). Soon enough, the photo was seemingly popping up on random places on the internet..

Here we are, a month later, and the photo has somehow found new life, going viral all over again. It’s now getting posted on some pretty big outlets, which has left me rather dumbfounded. I’m getting a lot of questions about it and figured it would be best to set the facts straight for once and for all:

1. No, Grumpy Cat isn’t really there. Sorry kids. Though, I would like to meet **her**
2. The photo is still real. Here’s the original post I made on my instagram.
3. Peter Dinklage is indeed, the man.
4. No, Grumpy Cat isn’t really there.
