Not too much is known yet about Empress Of, except that it’s led by Brooklyn’s Lorely Rodriguez. She’s been teasing it with youtube clips and this website. That is until she shared her debut track “Don’t Tell Me” today. It comes just in time, as her first performance will be at the Gorilla vs. Bear/Yours Truly showcase that will take place at 285 Kent this Thursday.
Enjoy some delightful female electronic work that is powerful and pretty damn sensual. Something tells me that this girl may explode next year in the same way that Grimes did this year. Great vocals and insane production that is a great start to a promising career.
Let the hype machine begin.
