If you’re reading this, you probably have noticed that the site looks a little bit different. That’s because this is the brand new layout that Matt Kempster from FRXNT has made for me. We wanted to give it a sleek clean look, while also maintaining the simplicity of the previous layout that so many of us (including myself) fell in love with.

We All Want Someone is a place where I will always put content first. The music and my words will always be my first priority. All the flashy stuff can be left for other blogs. I’m not that crafty anyway. I love sharing the music that I like with the world. That has always been my first priority, and it always will be. I believe that’s the reason you guys keep coming back.

In July, it will be three years since I first started this thing. Where has the time gone, right? It truly seems like it was just yesterday that I was contemplating whether it would be worth it or not to start my own music blog. I knew my friends would probably check it out once and a while, but I didn’t think anyone else would.

I started We All Want Someone in order to share music with my friends. Secretly I wanted to spread my love for music with a larger audience, just like blogs like Gorilla Vs Bear, You Ain’t No Picasso, Pretty Much Amazing, all blogs that I followed prior to starting my own. I wanted to have that connection with people. I shared music with my friends in real life, why not share it with even more people? I thought it would be awesome to join them as a fellow music blogger, but I was worried people would never read.

I was wrong. You guys made it possible, and I can’t thank you enough. I know it’s cliché, but it’s the truth. This blog would be nothing without you. Your comments, your interactions with me on twitter/facebook, your shoutbox comments, and your personal e-mails, don’t go unnoticed. They keep me aware that people are reading, and that people care enough to write. Without you, I would have lost all desire to keep this thing running a long time ago. You could be at hundreds of other music blogs, but you guys visit me. I can’t show my appreciation enough.

So this new layout stands for all that has happened since July 2008. I’m a much different person than I was three years ago, and this new layout represents that change. I got a lot of great stuff ahead of us in the future, and I hope you will continue to be a part of this amazing ride. The heart of this blog will stay the same, even if it has a new skin to wear.

This site has seriously changed my life. Thanks for everything, and I hope you enjoy We All Want Someone To Shout For, Version 2.0.

Here’s a song that I need to post. It’s only right:
