English rapper and poet Kate Tempest returned with her new album The Book of Traps and Lessons on June 14 via Republic Records. It’s yet another wonderous thought-provoking release from the talent that is Tempest, who continues to prove that she is one of the best original voices in the game (not to mention, severely underrated).
On Tuesday night (July 16), Tempest performed an invite-only industry performance at Berlin, a small intimate showcase for her to wow the audience with her running through the entirety of the album. She was accompanied by a single band-member this time around (different from the last time we saw her – back in 2017 at LPR), allowing her words to land with more emphasis and punch than ever before.
