Beach House have been touring steadily in support of their latest album 7, which was released last year via Sub Pop Records. We caught them at Kings Theatre last August and were at night 2 of their two night run at Brooklyn Steel during this leg of their U.S. tour, which took place on the night of June 10th.

The setlist was primarily taken from 7, featuring many dreamy renditions of new tracks such as “Drunk in LA” and “Lemon Grow” with a mixture of moody and colorful lighting and texture accompanying it. The band didn’t stretch far back in their catalog, with material from Teen Dream being the oldest material that they pulled from (“10 Mile Stereo” & “Walk In The Park”).

I overheard some fans wishing they got some material from Devotion and had to agree. But aside from specific personal requests, the band sounded as lush and dreamy as you’ve come to expect and are still very much a band at the peak of their powers.
