Maxwell’s “50 Intimate Nights” tour saw the singer play some of the most prestigious theatres in the country. On December 9th he closed out the tour in fashion by bringing it home for a sold out performance at Beacon Theatre. What better place to wrap up the tour than with an adoring hometown crowd, who were with him every step of the way?
As his band started into their first notes, a sphere that sat perched on top of the stage rotated until Maxwell was revealed inside of it, kicking into “Pretty Wings.” From there, he navigated the stage with a smile on his face the entire time. You can’t blame the man, when he’s welcome to the stage with a verity of bright-colored panties being flung at him from the adoring females in the crowd. I’ve seen a lot of shows, but that was a first for me.
It was clear that this show was a special one for him, one that he gave his very all to and one that the crowd did the very same thing.
