Johnny Marr is touring in support of his latest solo album Call the Comet, which he released back in June. He was here earlier this year for a performance at The Gramercy Theatre and returned for a pair of New York Dates, including both Irving Plaza and Warsaw.

We caught his performance at Irving Plaza on October 15, which featured a set full of his new solo material, as well as a flurry of The Smiths classics, such as “Bigmouth Strikes Again,” “The Headmaster Ritual,” “How Soon Is Now?,” “There Is a Light That Never Goes Out” and “Please, Please, Please Let Me Get What I Want,” the latter which Marr brought out Broken Social Scene’s Kevin Drew out to join him for.

There was a great postive buzz in the room from start to finish, as it was a real treat to get to see a guitar legend like Marr play so many great songs in a tiny room.
