Dyan is a trio that was started by Alexis Marsh and Sam Jones, a film scoring duo who fell in love, got married and then got divorced. This experience resulted into the songs that appeared on their debut album Looking For Knives even despite their rocky relationship. They soon added Dan Dorff on drums, who Alexis had started a new romantic relationship. While it seems like a recipe for disaster, out of it formed a new version of Dyan.

They’re at work on their new EP Absence and have since released its lovely title track, a thoughtful and restrained track that dabbles in both elements of folk but also a bit of an experimental territory that gives it its own pair of wings to fly on.
