The always evolving British rockers The Horrors returned with their fifth album V which was released via Wolf Tone/Caroline International.
They stopped into New York a few days ahead of its release for a intimate performance at Rough Trade NYC and on June 13 they returned for a slightly larger performance at Le Poisson Rouge for the second round of their tour as a part of LPR X, the venue’s celebration of their 10th anniversary.
The Horrors gave us a good mix of songs from the new album as well as the more synth-driven tracks from their back catlog. It was as moody of a set as I’ve ever seen from them, but if anyone can pull it off, it’s them.
