Maps & Atlases will return on Friday with their new album Lightlessness Is Nothing New, which will be released via Barsuk Records.

It’s the groups first new album in six years and sees frontman Dave Davison reckoning with the loss of his dad and the emotional distances between light and dark. The first single from the album is “Fall Apart,” a rather lively and genre-binding track that sounds like an eclectic mix of TV On The Radio and Alt-J. It’s a good look for the band and certainly a welcome direction.

You can stream “Fall Apart” below and find the album available to preorder from Barsuk here.
