Beau Turrentine is a singer-songwriter out of Nashville, Tennessee who caught my attention with his lovely offering “Hey Ben.”
It may not be reshaping the folk genre as a whole, but there’s a natural simplicity to this song that feels honest and feels true. He’s got a clear songwriting ability and that’s felt early on from the start of the song and carried all the way through to the very end. I can hear a little bit of The Tallest Man On Earth in there, which is most certainly a compliment.
