Ricky Hollywood is the France-based project of Stephane Bellity who has played drums for the likes of Melody’s Echo Chamber, Juliette Armanet and Halo Maud.
He’s recently gone solo and this is a good decision for all of us based on his totally delightful first single “Salut, je ne te reconnais pas.” It’s taken from his debut album Le Modeste Album which was released today via Nantes based label Futur Records.
It’s a warm, welcoming delight, with a ton of dreamy European vibes that takes the mind far away from whatever it is that is currently happening here in the states. You may not necessarily know what exactly Bellity is singing, but that’s oddly a part of this songs charm.
