This October SBTRKT released his sophomore album Wonder Where We Land. He’s been on tour in support of the album, including a two-night run at Terminal 5 that went down later that month.

On Sunday October 26 SBTRKT performed the first of the two shows, and it included a early cameo from Vampire Weekend’s Ezra Koenig who performed “New Dorp. New York,” as he does on the new record. SBTRKT has expanded his band and it does wonders for him live, working well alongside the impressive visuals that colored the stage. Aaron Jerome still performs with his trademark mask, keeping the identity and spirit of SBTRKT alive, and well. He also brought out Denai Moore to perform on “The Light.”

SBTRKT also performed their remix of Radiohead’s “Lotus Flower,” which was an unexpected highlight of the night. SBTRKT captures the essence of old-school soul and r&b, but with a modern twist. He clearly has a passion for what he’s doing, so it’s great to see that he can capture large audiences with such grace.
