On Saturday June 14, Thee Oh Sees played a free daytime show at McCarren Park as a part of the Northside Festival.

This was the first NYC show featured the new live lineup of the band, who are a now an all-male trio featuring John Dwyer and two new members on the drums and bass respectively. Any concerns that I had about the band still kicking ass was immediately dispelled with the opening performance of “I Come From The Mountain” with was as ferocious and energetic as always. The trio works quite well, still finding the same energy and angst of the normal lineup. While I would have loved to catch them at Death By Audio as well, I was just thankful to catch these guys again live, considering they were supposed to be on hiatus.
