Getting to see Vampire Weekend play in an intimate, stunning, church isn’t something that’s going to come around every day. I’ve seen them at quite a few different settings, but this was arguably the most unique yet. Not only because of the setting, but because of the the mostly acoustic set-up of the Benefit.

The band played a short but very entertaining set with great versions of “Oxford Comma”, “White Sky” “Cape Cod Kwassa Kwassa”, along with a lovely version of “I Think UR A Contra”, new song “Unbelievers”, and their always great cover of Bruce Springstreen’s “I’m Going Down”.

It’s one of those things where you just had to be there to see how special it really was.
