Woah this cover that Frightened Rabbit did is blowing my mind right about now. It’s a cover of The Philistines Jr.’s “My Brother Tom, The Green Beret”. It shows a side of them that I haven’t heard before. Scott’s vocals hit a warm baritone that I’m digging the hell out of. The Joy Division-esque percussion and jangly guitars do the original plenty of justice.

The cover is taken from If a Lot of Bands Play in the Woods…? , a compilation cover albums that will accompany The Philistines Jr.’s new album. The National, Jónsi, Mercury Rev, Tokyo Police Club and Tapes N’ Tapes are also featured on it.
